A Front End Engineering Design (FEED) procedure has been developed by our company that helps assist companies in evaluating the economics for proposed CO2 and EOR projects. Once the FEED study has cleared the economic hurdles and is approved with an AFE, NCG then has the capabilities and expertise to move into the detailed engineering portion of the project.
FEED Studies
Front End Engineering Design is also referred to as Front-End Loading (FEL). This involves the conceptual development of projects. During this stage various process options are evaluated. The project scope is developed. This includes all aspects of the project including process options, civil requirements, power and communication requirements. The intent is to do a thorough review of the project to make sure there are no major surprises later in the life of the project.
Generally what results from the study is a process flow diagram (PFD), preliminary equipment specifications, project cost estimate and project schedule.
The client can use this information to validate the economic viability of the project. Many times these studies are conducted on a pre-acquisition basis.
NCG has established confidentiality policies with all employees and clients.
