CO2 Production Facility
Electrical Engineering
NCG electrical engineers are experienced in electrical installations in chemical plants, oil/gas refineries and oil/gas field production facilities. We develop distribution maps, electrical one-lines and field audits to insure compliance with company, local and national codes. NCG electrical engineers' capabilities include the specification, design and installation of substations, switchgear, large induction and synchronous motors. We conduct plant/oilfield power system studies using SKM "Power*Tools for Windows" (e.g. Captor, Dapper, TMS.)
Instrument Engineering
NCG instrument engineers are experienced in process control design, implementation and development of advanced control systems, the design and installation of distributed control systems, configuration of SCADA systems and development of PLC based controls. NCG has experience with Wonderware Intouch, Allen-Bradley RSIogix, PanelBuilder 32 and ISaGRAF.
Process Design
NCG offers process engineering design services for the refining and oil/gas industries. Our capabilities include equipment and instrument specifications, process simulation, operations support and troubleshooting services.
Project Management
NCG provides project management services for our clients. Services include project planning, bid package preparation, subcontract administration, project tracking, cost control, on-site management and scheduling.
Piping Design
NCG offers detail piping design for oil/gas industrial facilities; our designers are experienced in routing piping around new or existing equipment and piping. NCG can develop PFD's, P&ID's, equipment location plans, detailed piping plans, fabrication isometrics and BOM's and work with live project data bases. NCG uses Coade certified personnel for performing pipe stress analysis using Caesar II.
HMI Interface
Technology Nicholas Consulting Group has made significant investments in appropriate technologies for the benefit of our clients. This includes a fully integrated computer network and a commitment to keep current software that is the industry standard.
NCG engineers work with a variety of process simulators, including Aspen HYSYS. Depending on the client's requirements and needs, other process simulators are available. Pipecalc is our standard tool that we use for analyzing pipeline systems. COADE Caesar II analyzes the piping system flexibility and stresses. Bentley systems STAAD.Pro performs our structural analysis.
The Power and Control Group uses SKM Power8Tools (Dapper/Captor/TMS) and Milsoft Utility Solutions (Wind/Mil/Light Table) for analyzing electrical needs. Power systems analysis can include demand determination, load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, protective device coordination, and transient motor starting simulations and analysis. Interactive graphics and extensive databases efficiently display, organize and process input data. System design evaluation uses this information.
Test Separator
The power and Control Group is also trained in a wide variety of PLC and HMI software including: Wonderware InTouch and SCADAlarm, Microsoft SQL, Wonderware EFM/SCADA Server, Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and PanelBuilder32, Modicon Concept, Control Microsystems TelePACE/ISaGraf and Automation Direct EZTouchedit, Exor Uniop designer.
The cornerstone of the drawing design platform at NCG is AutoCAD 2009. Used in conjunction with AutoCAD is CADWorx Plant 2009, which produces 3-D models of the design. This combination of AutoCAD/CadWorx software allows NCG to integrate plant design, extract piping isometrics and create project bills of materials in a fraction of the time previously required. Available for clients use in an internet basd system that allows the customer to view drawings over the internet. This password-protected system allows the customer to view drawings, make changes, print drawings, or review progress via the internet. It is an example of the use of technology to save customers time and money.
Production Facility
NCG has also made significant investments in project control and accounting software. Vision by Deltek is an integrated package that includes payroll, job costing, job tracking and invoicing. Microsoft Project is utilized to develop and monitor project schedules. The schedule package in combination with the Vision accounting package allows NCG to manage costs and track progress on a timely basis.
Environment
NCG has been committed to protecting the environment long before the word Green became part of the popular lexicon.
